A New York native, Sara-Lee Ramsawak serves as the Director of Academics & Global Programs at New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering. She has a bachelor's in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University, a master's in Media, Culture, and Communications (Global and Transcultural Communications concentration), and is pursuing a PhD in International Education (Global Education focus), both from NYU. In addition to her primary responsibilities, Sara chairs the Tandon Prehealth Committee, which advises and administers student services and academic opportunities for those pursuing health professions and is a Tandon Representative for the NYU Administrators Management Council (AMC), which works to ensure equity and share information and best practices among administrators. She sits on the Board of Kids Who Care Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to providing information and education to non-traditional and underrepresented youth. She is passionate about education and adamant about providing all learners with the tools and resources necessary to be successful in university. In the future, Sara hopes to step into the political realm.
