Dr. Sharon Guan is the Assistant Vice President for Center of Teaching and Learning (CTL) at DePaul University. In this role, she leads five sub divisions including instructional technology, faculty development, instructional design, assessment and student learning support. Under her leadership, CTL promotes excellence in instruction across the university through innovative instructional methods, effective use of educational technology, and assessment of student learning in line with accreditation expectations.

Dr. Guan received her master’s and doctoral degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Educational Technology from Indiana State University. She has over twenty years of experiences in the field of instructional technology, online learning, faculty development and Higher Ed administration. Under her leadership, the program developed by her department –DePaul Online Teaching Series– received the 2012 Sloan Consortium Award of Excellence in Faculty Development.
